Mild-mannered Kevin Kline is asked to step in to impersonate the US President, who is recovering from a stroke. However, it's not long before the lookalike realises that in addition to affairs of state, he also has to handle matters of the heart, bringing happiness back into the life of disillusioned First Lady Sigourney Weaver as well as attempting to change policy for the better. Ivan Reitman's charming comedy, with Kline perfectly cast in the title role, alongside Frank Langella, Ben Kingsley, Ving Rhames and Kevin Dunn
