Sylvester Stallone is something of a revelation in this outstanding offering, playing the naive sheriff of a small town that has become home to a group of corrupt city cops. A law unto themselves, they expect him to turn a blind eye to their illegal activities - something he's happy to do, until an Internal Affairs investigator asks for his help. Downbeat but very involving thriller with the all-star cast also including Hollywood heavyweights Robert De Niro and Harvey Keitel, alongside Ray Liotta, Annabella Sciorra and Janeane Garofalo
