Constantine

Keanu Reeves stars in this supernatural thriller as cynical exorcist John Constantine, a man who is cursed with the ability to see spirits stalking the Earth. Constantine grudgingly takes to battling the forces of evil to get back into the heavenly good books, but when he's diagnosed with terminal cancer, it seems the time for salvation is running out. However, a policewoman (Rachel Weisz) investigating her twin sister's mysterious death may hold the key to saving his soul. Thinly-plotted but visually impressive dark fantasy based on the cult comic-books, with Reeves appropriately misanthropic as the chain-smoking anti-hero - although fans weren't happy about a British character being reinvented as an American. Co-starring an angelic Tilda Swinton and Peter Stormare as possibly the seediest Satan on film.
