Movie (2002)
Irreverent, offbeat and visually stylish crime drama based on the outlandish memoirs of real-life TV executive Chuck Barris, who claimed to have been a CIA assassin, killing 33 people in between masterminding a host of successful game shows. Charlie Kaufman, the writer behind Being John Malkovich, contributes a deadpan script that takes Barris's far-fetched tall tales at face value. Starring Sam Rockwell, Michelle Sweeney, Drew Barrymore, Julia Roberts, Maggie Gyllenhaal and George Clooney, who also makes an impressive directorial debut. Clooney's Ocean's 11 co-stars Brad Pitt and Matt Damon cameo as contestants on Barris's shows
