Orson Welles directs and stars as wealthy newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane, an American tycoon inspired by William Randolph Hearst, who discovers the loneliness of life at the top. On his death, an inquisitive reporter begins piecing together the details of his life, discovering an epic tale of ambition and conflict - all the while trying to discover the meaning behind the millionaire's enigmatic last words. Joseph Cotten and Agnes Moorehead co-star in what has often been named the greatest film ever made, with Welles' groundbreaking camerawork radically reinventing the way movies were shot
