A woman and her daughter move to a sleepy French village and open a chocolate shop opposite the well-attended Catholic church - enraging the locals, who believe such extravagance is not to be encouraged. But her wares prove too tempting, and the weak-willed residents are soon falling over themselves to sample the treats.
