The spirit of a serial killer is transferred into the body of a knee-high doll, which promptly embarks on a campaign of terror against the unfortunate youngster who receives the plaything as a birthday present. Excellent bloodthirsty horror boasting heart-stopping chills and unforgettable lines from the demonic doll. Catherine Hicks, Chris Sarandon, Alex Vincent and Dinah Manoff star, while Brad Dourif provides the voice of the terrifying toy. The franchise is still staggering on, though the most recent entry, Seed of Chucky, veers further into comedy than terror
