Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars in this wartime drama as a British journalist who poses as an aid worker in order to gain entry to Thirties China during the Japanese occupation. Assisted by a courageous nurse, he rescues 60 orphaned boys from the clutches of nationalist soldiers desperate to enlist new recruits and leads them on a challenging journey over mountains and desert to safety.
