Movie (1981)
Stirring Oscar-winning drama based on the true story of contrasting British runners - Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams - going for gold at the 1924 Olympics in Paris. Ben Cross and Ian Charleson are brilliant as the sportsmen, who are driven to run for very different reasons, while Nigel Havers, John Gielgud and Ian Holm are among the stiff upper-lipped co-stars. Vangelis's evocative soundtrack serves to raise viewers' spirits. Includes RTE News and Weather at 3.00pm
