Carry On Columbus
Jim Dale plays the title role in the most recent and arguably worst Carry On film, which ill-advisedly resurrected the once hugely successful franchise. It also stars a host of 'young ones' including Rik Mayall, Nigel Planer, Julian Clary, Tony Slattery, Alexei Sayle and Keith Allen. The story focuses on Columbus's attempts to reach the Indies - a voyage sabotaged by spies, a dodgy map and an incompetent crew. Others along for the ride include Sara Crowe, Richard Wilson, Bernard Cribbins and June Whitfield
