Captured Briton Kenneth Connor is mistaken for a heroic swordsman and promoted to the Roman Royal Guard, with orders to protect Julius Caesar. But neither he nor the doomed emperor expects an assassination attempt to come from within Caesar's circle of friends. Laborious and lewd comedy, with Amanda Barrie at least putting in a memorable performance as the sultry Egyptian queen, alongside Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Jim Dale, Charles Hawtrey and Joan Sims
