A music agent attempts to save the career of Maria Callas by persuading the ailing opera singer to mime in a new production of Carmen. Franco Zeffirelli's drama is based around the real events of the 1970s, when Callas's star dwindled after she lost her voice. Starring Fanny Ardant and Jeremy Irons
