Doris Day gives a memorable performance as the tomboy gunslinger who falls in love and decides to spruce herself up in a bid to get her man. Director David Butler's lavish musical Western comedy co-stars Howard Keel, who later took centre stage in Kiss Me Kate and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, with Allyn McLerie and Dick Wesson. The excellent score includes The Deadwood Stage, Just Blew In from the Windy City and the Oscar-winning Secret Love
