Movie (1957)
Classic Oscar-winning World War Two drama. Alec Guinness stars as a stiff-upper-lipped British colonel in a Japanese prisoner of war camp who is ordered to have his men build a railway bridge over the River Kwai, forging a vital link in military communications. Although he refuses to obey at first, he eventually agrees to take the project on - but soon becomes obsessed, leading to a dilemma for American soldier William Holden, who's sent to destroy the structure.
