Reinvention of the Seventies sitcom, which takes the approach of having the all-American family remain as squeaky clean as ever, only now they inhabit the far more cynical era of the 1990s. The eternally cheerful clan face a testing time as their brash neighbours scheme to buy their much-loved split-level home and tear it down to make room for a shopping centre. It soon looks like the ruthless capitalism of the urban jungle in Nineties Los Angeles will destroy their idyllic way of life.
