Sophia Loren made her American film debut in this romantic adventure, playing a sponge diver who discovers a number of priceless artefacts hidden inside a sunken ship off the coast of her Greek island home. When her boyfriend hears of the find he plots a way to sell them to the highest bidder, but the presence of an American archaeologist ruins his plans and his love life.
