Johnny Depp heads the cast of this uneven fact-based drama, which explores the life of drug trafficker George Jung, who became one of the most powerful figures in the US cocaine trade. Leaving his poverty-stricken childhood behind, he vows never to go hungry again - and finds a way to make good on his promise when he stumbles into a career as a dealer in the free-wheeling atmosphere of the 1970s. However, as his business expands, he finds things don't get any easier, not least thanks to the increasingly demanding women surrounding him.
