The Birds
Movie (1963)
Thriller about a Californian coastal community besieged by a series of attacks from rogue birds which begin when a socialite arrives in town to visit the area's eligible bachelor. Alfred Hitchcock's classic depiction of nature turning against humanity, loosely based on Daphne du Maurier's short story, starring Tippi Hedren - who suffered the indignity of having birds attached to her clothes during filming, to ensure the creatures didn't flee - Rod Taylor, Suzanne Pleshette, Jessica Tandy and Veronica Cartwright.
