Movie (1980)
Samuel Fuller's powerful World War Two drama spanning several years and continents, following the fortunes of five infantry soldiers as they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds. Based on the director's own experiences, the film is a series of anecdotes underscoring the true horrors of war. Lee Marvin, Mark Hamill, Robert Carradine, Bobby DiCicco and Kelly Ward star. Definitely one to watch, especially as this is the extended version put together by critic Richard Schickel in 2004, who based his reconstruction on the director's original notes
