Movie (1999)

The critics may not have enjoyed this comedy, but it's enjoyable enough fare from star Adam Sandler. He plays a carefree 32-year-old who is heartbroken when dumped by his girlfriend for an older man, and plans to win her back by offering to look after a youngster, thus proving he is finally ready to grow up - but of course, chaos ensues. The first in a double-bill of Sandler comedies, with Joey Lauren Adams, Jon Stewart, Josh Mostel, Leslie Mann, Rob Schneider and Kristy Swanson among the likeable supporting cast, alongside Steve Buscemi in a cameo role. Twins Cole and Dylan Sprouse take the role of the luckless youngster entrusted to the laid-back joker's care.
