Movie (2002)
Billy Bob Thornton stars in this thriller as a homophobic sheriff who reluctantly investigates the killing of a transsexual. It soon becomes apparent that local politicians and residents are anxious to keep the murder quiet, for fear of it jeopardising an upcoming election and plans to build a casino in the area. With increasing pressure to drop the case, the lawman finds himself torn between bringing the killer to justice and caving into the wishes of the prejudiced community. With Patricia Arquette
