Awaara
A woman abandoned to the slums by her wealthy husband for alleged infidelity gives birth to a baby son, Raj. In time Raj is forced into a life of crime to support his mother and falls in with a notorious bandit, whom he discovers was responsible for driving his parents apart. In a fit of rage, Raj kills him and ends up on trial, where his childhood sweetheart is his defence counsel and his own father the judge. Musical drama, directed by and starring Raj Kapoor, with Nargis, Pritviraj Kapoor and KN Singh
