The two iconic alien species slug it out in this underwhelming sci-fi thriller. A team of archaeologists investigate the discovery of a mysterious hot spot beneath the Antarctic ice. They discover a temple and, as they explore the structure, they discover it is inhabited by a deadly alien race. Meanwhile, a second batch of hostile extraterrestrials are on their way to prove their worth by fighting the first - with the unfortunate humans caught in the middle. Hardly the grand battle royal you'd expect - both franchises deserve so much better. Starring Sanaa Lathan, Raoul Bova and Lance Henriksen, who previously appeared in the second and third Alien movies
