An Italian mother tries to raise money for an operation to restore her blind son's sight by tracking down her former lovers and convincing each one that he is the boy's father. The woman manages to acquire a sizeable sum of money, but her plan hits a stumbling block when she realises she still has feelings for one of her ex-partners.
