Movie (1999)
Jodie Foster stars in this sprawling historical drama chronicling the oft-told story of the romance between widowed English schoolteacher Anna Leonowens and the King of Siam during the 1860s. Originally hired to tutor one of the monarch's sons, Leonowens is shocked to discover he actually expects her to care for all 58 of his children - but after a series of disagreements with her royal employer, she gradually develops a powerful love for him. Chow Yun-Fat, better known for his action roles, gives a surprisingly tender performance as the ruler, with support from Ling Bai, Syed Alwi and Tom Felton (better known as Harry Potter's foe Draco Malfoy)
