Movie (2000)
Based on the novel by real-life villain-turned-writer Edward Bunker, this tense prison drama follows a small-time drug-dealer beginning his first jail sentence. He's 'adopted' by an old lag, who promises to protect him from violent sexual assault. The pair form a strong bond of friendship - so strong, in fact, that you wonder if the man most likely to assault the prison virgin is his guardian. Directed by Steve Buscemi, and starring Edward Furlong, Willem Dafoe, Mickey Rourke and Seymour Cassel.
