Stuffy, middle-aged Oxford don Michael Palin has his holiday in Switzerland ruined by two American ladies who fall for him - and threaten to destroy his entire career by following him back to England, where they cause chaos among the dreaming spires, not to mention upheaval in the lives of everyone who meets them. Warm and witty light-hearted drama which Palin claims is based on actual events in the life of his great-grandfather.
