Movie (2002)

Scheming politicians, led by the Chancellor, try to manipulate the unwitting Ali G into aiding the downfall of the British Prime Minister. But the plan backfires spectacularly when Ali's streetwise chat and baggy pants make him an instant hit with the kids and, in turn, make the PM even more popular. Uneven comedy bringing Sacha Baron Cohen's TV creation to the big screen. It does boast some hilariously funny moments - but also some stinkers. Michael Gambon, Charles Dance, Kellie Bright, Martin Freeman and Rhona Mitra are among the co-stars.
