Recently unemployed footballer Terry Brogan (Jeff Bridges) is hired by a nightclub owner with powerful and sinister connections to track down the mobster's runaway girlfriend. Terry's search leads him to the Mayan ruins of Mexico, where events take a complicated turn. A middling remake of unsurpassable film noir offering Build My Gallows High, this moody thriller co-stars Rachel Ward, James Woods and Jane Greer
