Peter Sellers takes the lead in this patchy Neil Simon-scripted comedy, playing an Italian con-man who adopts the guise of a film director to help him smuggle a fortune in gold. Sellers' then wife Britt Ekland co-stars, along with Victor Mature, lampooning his own screen persona in the role of a washed-up actor
