The Admirable Crichton

Lord Loam and his butler Crichton both find their views put to the test when the entire household is shipwrecked on a desert island. The aristocrat is proud of his tendency to treat his staff as equals - to a point - while the manservant believes that people should know their place. However, once cut off from civilisation it is the resourceful Crichton who rises to the top of the pecking order - to the horror of his supposedly open-minded master.
