A neurotic screenwriter struggles to complete his latest project thanks to the intervention of his brash twin brother who decides to come up with a film of his own. Surreal comedy drama from director Spike Jonze, based on Charlie Kaufman's clever and mesmerising screenplay. The imaginative director and writer also worked together on Being John Malkovich, and fans of challenging cinema will be hoping the pair reunite in the future. Nicolas Cage shows off his range as both brothers, adeptly capturing their tragically funny relationship, while convincing support is provided by Meryl Streep and Chris Cooper, who won an Oscar for his performance
