Stewart Granger stars in this weak romantic drama about a society playboy who adopts his dead friend's daughter. It probably doesn't come as a surprise to anybody to learn that eventually, as she grows up, he falls head over heels in love with her. Jean Simmons (who married Granger a year after the film was released), also stars, alongside Raymond Young and Wilfrid Hyde White
