Movie (1962)
Bold, visually impressive historical drama chronicling the heroic efforts of a heavily outnumbered band of Greek warriors to repel a vast horde of merciless Persian invaders during a blood-soaked confrontation at Thermopylae. The characters and plot take second place to the large-scale battle sequences, but there's plenty to keep viewers entertained. Richard Egan, Ralph Richardson, Barry Coe and Diane Baker star. A new film dealing with this historical battle, 300, is released in cinemas this week
