A bicycle courier wakes from a coma to discover the streets of London virtually deserted - and soon learns the UK has been struck by a terrifying experimental virus which sends sufferers into a homicidal rage. Banding together with a handful of other survivors, they head to Manchester, supposedly the last outpost of the uninfected. But there are more dangers ahead of them than just those driven mad by the virus.
