Fact-based period drama, adapted from Horton Foote's play, about the devastating outbreak of influenza that swept the US in 1918. William Converse-Roberts stars as Horace Robedaux, a young man from the poor side of a small town in rural Texas who has married into a wealthy family. Encouraged by his stern father-in-law, Horace decides to fight for his country in World War One, but the epidemic spreading dangerously close to his home threatens to change everything. Also starring Belinda Jackson and Matthew Broderick
