Fact-based period drama, adapted from Horton Foote's play, about the devastating outbreak of influenza that swept the US in 1918. William Converse-Roberts stars as Horace Robedaux, a young man from the poor side of a small town in rural Texas who has married into a wealthy family. Encouraged by his stern father-in-law, Horace decides to fight for his country in World War One, but the epidemic spreading dangerously close to his home threatens to change everything.
