      Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later

Homicidal madman Michael Myers returns to stalk his original target, now an alcoholic teacher, 20 years after his first killing spree. Naturally, he ends up pursuing yet more teenagers, this time around a deserted school, as he hones his murderous skills. Follow-up to the classic chiller with a few knowing nods for the Scream generation. It's more a film about horror films than a genuinely scary movie, but it's certainly the only Halloween sequel worth bothering with. With Jamie Lee Curtis and her real-life mother Janet Leigh, plus Josh Hartnett, Adam Arkin and Michelle Williams

    • 5:15am
      Crimes and Misdemeanors

Woody Allen's unmissable comedy drama, comprising two loosely entwined moral tales. The first concerns Martin Landau as a doctor who takes drastic steps to prevent mistress Anjelica Huston telling all to his wife. The second stars Allen himself as a documentary director making a biography of his more successful brother-in-law, while pursuing production assistant Mia Farrow. With Alan Alda, Jerry Orbach, Sam Waterston and Claire Bloom

    • 11:20am
      Little Shop of Horrors

This colourful cult comedy musical was adapted from the off-Broadway production and is tremendous fun, boasting a host of memorable numbers and some fantastic twisted humour. Rick Moranis stars as a weedy flower-shop assistant who grows a bizarre plant with an insatiable appetite for human flesh. Ellen Greene, Vincent Gardenia and Michelle Weeks co-star and one-time Four Tops singer Levi Stubbs provides the voice of the potty plant

    • 12:55pm
      The Next Best Thing

Insipid drama in which yoga instructor Madonna and her gay friend Rupert Everett provide an unusual coupling as they attempt to raise a child together - until she finds love with a straight man and a nasty custody battle ensues. John Schlesinger's lacklustre final movie is hardly a fitting tribute to the man who made classic films Midnight Cowboy, Darling, and Far from the Madding Crowd. The plot doesn't stand up to scrutiny, the leading stars are horribly miscast, and the decent supporting players - including Benjamin Bratt, Lynn Redgrave and Illeana Douglas - simply go to waste

    • 2:45pm
      Ender's Game

70 years after a horrific alien war, an unusually gifted child is sent to an advanced military school in space to prepare for a future invasion.

A burned-out detective is given the task of escorting a criminal to court to testify against a group of corrupt policemen - but what seems to be a routine assignment quickly turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse as the crooked officers try to stop them reaching the courthouse alive. Thriller, starring Bruce Willis, Mos Def, David Morse, Jenna Stern and Casey Sander

    • 6:25pm
      Runner Runner

A broke college student confronts the online gaming entrepreneur he believes cheated him. Drama starring Justin Timberlake and Ben Affleck.

    • 8:00pm
      Red Dragon

Anthony Hopkins reprises his most famous role as Hannibal Lecter for this gripping thriller prequel. Edward Norton co-stars as Will Graham, the FBI agent who first captured Lecter, only to quit the bureau soon after. However, he is lured out of retirement when a demented murderer begins slaughtering entire families every full moon, forcing Graham to seek the imprisoned cannibal's expertise. Adapted from the first, and arguably best, of Thomas Harris' novels to feature Lecter, this effective chiller may not be in the same league as The Silence of the Lambs, but it does boast a top-notch cast, from Ralph Fiennes' creepy yet tragic killer to Philip Seymour Hoffman's sleazy tabloid hack.

    • 10:05pm

An art auctioneer uses hypnotherapy to help recover a lost painting, but his own memories of what happened becomes blurred. Crime thriller directed by Danny Boyle

    • 11:50pm
      The Signal
