      The eponymous pianist returns for a new run of eight instalments. With an impressive 44 series already under his belt, the same 'in the round' formula will be reworked for this run as Jools welcomes some of the world's biggest artists, kicking off with alt-J, the indie trio who perform tracks from their pending second album, This Is All Yours. North Carolina's Ryan Adams is no stranger to the series, having appeared on three previous occasions. He will be performing a couple of tracks from his self-titled, self-produced 14th LP. West London Soul act Jungle and singer-songwriter FKA Twigs will also be promoting their respective albums, and American R&B singing group The O'Jays will be joining Jools round the piano

Also appearing are Southampton rock trio Band of Skulls, Manchester jazz trio GoGo Penguin, Irish indie musician Hozier and Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit, while Luther star Idris Elba chats to Jools about his album paying tribute to Nelson Mandela

      Extended edition of Tuesday night's show. South London singer-songwriter Jamie T performs tracks from his third LP Carry on the Grudge, and singer Ali Campbell is joined by his former UB40 bandmates Astro and Mickey to showcase tracks from his new album Silhouette, which is a mix of new songs and reggae versions of classics by the Beatles, Bob Dylan and the Chi-Lites. Also on the show are Gorgon City, aka north London producers Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott, who play their Top 5 hit Ready for Your Love, and Irish folk-rock musician Damien Rice debuts songs from his forthcoming album My Favourite Faded Fantasy. Plus, Baltimore based synth-pop group Future Islands, provide a couple of tracks from their fourth album Singles, and Minneapolis singer-songwriter Chastity Brown, who has been described as a 'rocking and rolling encyclopaedia of roots music
