Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood

This comedy had plenty of potential, setting out to spoof the earnest Spike Lee style of film-making, and with undeniably talented brothers Shawn and Marlon Wayans both starring and taking writing credits. However, all didn't go according to plan, and too many of the jokes fall flat, making this offering a disappointment. It tells the story of a black man who's sent to live with his father in South Central LA - only to fall in with the wrong crowd and end up slap-bang in the middle of a turf war. Also starring Tracey Cherelle Jones and Chris Spencer
