      Young Guns II

Violent Brat Pack Western sequel following a particularly odious Billy the Kid and his two surviving cronies as they head for the safe haven of Mexico with three new recruits, hotly pursued by their former partner in crime-turned-lawman Pat Garrett. Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Christian Slater and William Petersen are among the largely well-chosen cast, while James Coburn, who starred in Sam Peckinpah's classic version of the same story Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, makes a cameo appearance. Rocker Jon Bon Jovi supplies the gut-busting theme song

    • 6:00pm

Steven Spielberg's classic blockbusting thriller, which was nominated for the Best Picture Oscar in 1976, about a New England seaside town where the holiday season is turned into a bloody nightmare by a giant killer shark. Roy Scheider stars as the local police chief who teams up with grizzled fisherman Robert Shaw and marine expert Richard Dreyfuss to hunt and kill the monster predator, while John Williams provides the familiar and foreboding soundtrack. The model shark used in the production of the film was nicknamed Bruce by Spielberg - in honour of his lawyer.

      Jaws 2

Life seems to be getting back to normal in the seaside resort of Amity, and the locals are ready to put the bloody past behind them. That is, until another great white shark decides it's the perfect place to eat, and sets about making a meal of the water-loving residents. Good job lawman Roy Scheider is still on hand to battle the beast. Toothless sequel to Steven Spielberg's original blockbuster, with Lorraine Gary and Murray Hamilton.

    • 11:30pm
      Jaws 3

A baby shark is captured by divers and put on display in a Florida marine centre - where its angry mother soon appears, intent on exacting revenge. The only shocking thing about this poor excuse for a sequel is that it ever got a cinematic release - although that might have been down to its originally being shown in 'glorious' 3-D. Dennis Quaid, Simon MacCorkindale, Louis Gossett Jnr and Bess Armstrong are among the bait.
