      Money Talks

A journalist in need of a scoop offers to shelter a fugitive for the weekend in return for an exclusive feature on his life - but as the police close in on them, their plans begin to fall apart. This hectic comedy rattles along at a tremendous pace, but not all the jokes work, and the pairing of Charlie Sheen and Chris Tucker as the mismatched duo doesn't really click. Heather Locklear, Gerard Ismael and Paul Sorvino also appear

      Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later

Homicidal madman Michael Myers returns to stalk his original target, now an alcoholic teacher, 20 years after his first killing spree. Naturally, he ends up pursuing yet more teenagers, this time around a deserted school, as he hones his murderous skills. Follow-up to the classic chiller with a few knowing nods for the Scream generation. It's more a film about horror films than a genuinely scary movie, but it's certainly the only Halloween sequel worth bothering with. With Jamie Lee Curtis and her real-life mother Janet Leigh, plus Josh Hartnett, Adam Arkin and Michelle Williams

Relief spreads among the group after they are persuaded to dismount the ride before it does in fact crash, but death seems intent on catching up with the teenagers as, one by one, they meet a gruesome demise. Horror, also with Ryan Merriman and Kris Lemche

      The Mexican

Petty crook Brad Pitt finds himself stuck between a rock and a hard place when his Mob boss demands that he smuggle a cursed gun from Mexico to America, much to girlfriend Julia Roberts' displeasure. Events soon spiral out of control - especially with 'sensitive' hitman James Gandolfini (who steals the film from under the noses of the Hollywood heavyweights) hot on their trail. Staccato comedy thriller which, given the big-name leads, ought to have been a lot better than it is. Gene Hackman, JK Simmons, Bob Balaban, David Krumholtz and Michael Cerveris co-star
