Dick Van Dyke co-stars as the chirpy chimney sweep Bert, who joins the trio on their travels, complete with arguably the most infamous Cockney accent in cinema history. In a dual role, he also appears as Mr Dawes Senior. The songs include A Spoonful of Sugar, I Love to Laugh and the Oscar-winning Chim Chim Cher-ee. With Karen Dotrice and Matthew Garber as the cute kids, and David Tomlinson and Glynis Johns as their perpetually flustered parents whose lives are also eventually changed by their childrens' nanny.
