The flags in Los Angeles felt as if they should be sporting a different kind of red, white and blue on Monday morning as a British drama about a British monarch set in Britain, with a British production team costing a mere eight million British pounds sterling waltzed its way to victory in the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Actor categories at the 83rd Academy Awards.
