I’ve been on honeymoon, lying on the beach sipping a variety of colada’s and what do I see upon my return to work? My LocateTV colleagues’ blogging about their island must-haves – They must’ve been thinking of me with green eyes and just *wishing* they were abroad like me! To be honest – I hate being abroad. So I’m flying, flying along, and then I’m falling, falling fast! (Well you would be falling fast with a giant TV and actor in tow!) Luckily my fall is broken by this certain actor – not so lucky for him! But we’re stranded on a beautiful island with coconuts aplenty. So I've landed on my desert island, hooked up my LCD TV and Blu-ray player to an otherworldly, eternal power source and am relaxing on the beach with some coconut milk and a pineapple (hey, it's my blog, I'm allowed some artistic license..). Now what should I watch... 1. The TV show would be, without doubt, Frasier. All 11 seasons of the most successful sitcom ever (37 Emmy awards!) to keep me occupied and entertained for weeks. It’s taken me more time than perhaps necessary to put together my list of items I’d just have to have with me on my island. Having the luxury to actually plan what I’d need to keep me occupied for days, weeks, years (!!) has lead me to think quite rationally about my choices. 1. The TV box set came to me instantly. So, assuming I had a television and could source a steady, regulated supply of electricity, my desert island entertainment must-haves are as follows. To prevent loneliness, I would have to drag someone else into my hypothetical island nightmare. I could go for obvious choices – trendy people like Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher or Miley Cyrus. However, whilst Zac is a hunk, he would only distract me from escaping, Ashton’s easy charm would cheer me up but his pining for Demi would get really annoying and as for Miley - her chubby cheeks would last me at least a fortnight should… read more »
