She won't be favored to win. But however long it lasts for her, acerbic, corkscrew-mouthed Nancy Grace certainly won't go quietly into the night during this fall's 13th edition of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Let the amazing Grace jokes begin, with the 12 new celebrity contestants required to dance either the Viennese Waltz or the Cha Cha Cha on the Sept. 19th season opener. Season 12 Dancing with the Stars judges have voted and revelaved this seasons results, last night on ABC! Three months of intense competition saw the Dancing with the Stars lineup with finalists Chelsea Kane, Kirstie Alley and Hines Ward. Once the judges made their decision and the votes were counted, the eventual winner of season 12 Dancing with the Stars was Hines Ward, who picked up the mirrorball trophy with partner Kym Johnson. The hair was styled. The sequins sewn. The toes pointed. And the breath bated. As the 12th season of Dancing With The Stars kicked off in the States last night, all eyes were undoubtedly on Cheers actress Kirstie Alley. The eldest contender (looking amazing at 60!), Kirstie wowed the judges with her seductive routine with partner Maskin Chmerkovskiy. With judge Bruno Tonioli boldly stating "Your foot placement was the best of the night", Kirstie was visibly stunned when her score of 23 out of 30 moved her to second place. The constant care and feeding of TV's "reality competition" series has devalued what it used to mean to be a "star" -- or a "celebrity." Still, who would have thought it could come to this? ABC's runaway most popular series, Dancing with the Stars, will have less candle power when it returns on March 21st than the latest edition of NBC's comparatively ratings-famished The Celebrity Apprentice, which launched on Sunday. Last night was the season 10 finale of Dancing with the Stars. Who won I hear you ask? Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger was crowned with the glitter ball trophy. What’s next for the DWTS contestants?
