The eagerly awaited Fantastic Mr. Fox premiered at the BFI London Film Festival under the direction of Wes Anderson. Due for general release on October 23, I wanted to take a look at the man in the director’s chair and see how Anderson has carried over his distinctive visual style from live-action features to stop-motion animation. We are an animation nation. And the figures prove it. On January 14th next year, we will be celebrating The Simpsons 20th year on our screens, Family Guy has stacked up 139 episodes, Futurama has been nominated for 27 awards and won a total of 20 and South Park is the highest rated series on Comedy Central.
