Look closely...a secret cinema screening worth sharing
As a member of a local cinema's unlimited club (pay a certain fee each month, see as many films as you can), I was sent the following in an email "Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to attend a secret unlimited screening". I was intrigued! As part of this club, there are regular previews where members can see films a little while before they're on general release, and it's always nice to see something before your friends do! Since receiving the email, there were several clues floating around the internet as to what it could be, including… read more »
The Hangover is over
by Lily on May 29th 2013 at 10:10 am
So this is it. It all ends here. And you know what? I'm glad! The longer I waited to write this review the worse my impression became from The Hangover Part III. On the day I saw it it seemed quite funny and entertaining, but thinking about it today it wasn't that funny but still kind of entertaining. To me it was more of an action road trip movie than comedy. Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong) was my least favourite character in all of the franchise and there was a lot of him. Not too fast but very furious: Fast and Furious 6 Movie Review

The day has finally arrived! Today the action-packed-nitro-fueled Fast and Furious 6 is released in the States. I'm a huge fan of the Fast and Furious franchise, which regular LocateTV Blog readers may have already realised (see Parody Trailer blog). I love all the movies, even Tokyo Drift, so it's safe to say that it would take a lot for one of these films to disappoint me... The opening scenes are of Dom Torreto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker), racing to… read more »

by Lily on April 26th 2013 at 11:30 am
Yesterday the third movie in the Iron man franchise was finally released across the UK. I, of course, volunteered to watch it and write a short review whilst trying not to give out any spoilers. Let's first go back and see how the previous Iron Man movies did in the past. April 14, 2008. The man in the iron suit makes his cinema appearance for the very first time in Sydney. With the budget of $140M, Robert Downey Jr. and popular Marvel characters, what more could we have wanted? Oh yes, we just wanted more of it all! April 26,… read more »
Avengers Assemble!
by Josh on April 27th 2012 at 11:58 am
It's taken over four years and five films in order for us to get here but at long last the Avengers have assembled! In what is perhaps the most audacious gambit in cinematic history, Marvel Studios have taken four different film series with four different continuities and brought them all into one shared universe, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Returning to their previous roles are Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and reintroducing… read more »
