You spotted it? We’re on it…

So this is our first proper week with LocateTV in private beta – I like to imagine those password-holders across the web like smiling children elbowing their way through the gates of Wonka’s factory, waving aloft their golden tickets… Maybe a touch hubristic there, but you get my point.

The event last week has made us really excited to get the site out there – like releasing a lovely, fit young fish into the wilds of the ocean if you will – and we want to know how he tastes. (OK, the metaphor is getting a bit weird).

We’ve got TV and film lovers involved all across the web, from bloggers to active members of forums like Digital Spy, Rotten Tomatoes and AV Forums, so we hope to get a broad range of opinions and experiences from experts, enthusiasts and ordinary web users alike. These guys have been brilliant – we’ve already been exchanging daily emails about gaps in data or search glitches they’ve found. Andrew, one of our testers, noticed that: ‘if you put in Neighbours, It’ll tell you when the episode is next on (i.e tomorrow at 1:40pm), but it wont show you that it’s repeated at 5.35 until it passes that 1.40pm time on that day. I don’t know whether this is intentional or a bug, but its an oversight, as I may want to know the 5.35 time slot, as I’m at work at 1.40 for example.’ It’s this kind of thing that is really useful to know and we’re already working to resolve it.

There have also been a couple of nice posts out there talking about us such as in Gambit’s Blog and it’s great to see bloggers already using our embed such as Rob May and Rob Fisher (Robs obviously love Locate).
