Smashable: 33 Ways To Get Frustrated

Mashable‘s recent post 33 Ways To Watch TV Online has thrown up exactly the kind of issues that get us excited about launching Locate.
Over at Download Squad, Brad Linder echoes the frustrations of viewers the web over: “who wants to go to a network website to watch video for just that network? And who wants to turn on twelve different applications to see what content’s available?”
Obviously, we wouldn’t be including illegal content, but even the volume of legitimate stuff out there is immense, especially with sites such as Joost and Babelgum really taking off.
To quote Brad: “How hard would it be for the cable and broadcast networks to come together and design a web page, or an application like Joost that lets you access all the content they’re making available for free anyway?” – how about a TV and film search engine that allows you to search that content and tailor-make your own schedules?
The more this market explodes, the more the need grows and boy is it exploding.
